BCWF Lite

BCWF Lite is a NEW and gentler approach to working out. It is a wellness program, taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where the focus is on reconnecting with your body and getting it moving on a regular basis in a supportive and nature-filled environment.  BCWF Lite is a six week program (two days a week – Tues and Thurs at 9:15 am) designed for those new or just returning to exercise!  The intensity level will be low to moderate. There is absolutely NO RUNNING required!

Just like BootCampWF, prior to the first (and after the last!) day, each recruit will be assessed for flexibility, strength and endurance. We will see how long it takes to WALK a half mile. We will test your abdominal and upper body strength by seeing how many modified sit-ups and push-ups you can do.  And if you choose, you can weigh-in and we will do a body-fat assessment for you.  After the last day you will complete the same assessments again and you WILL see improvement.  We will have FUN!

All cardiovascular exercise will be done at a walker’s pace and heart rates will be taken regularly. All strength training will be done with exercise resistance bands or light hand weights. These strength exercises will help to develop core and stabilizing muscles.  We will review any injuries, medical conditions or other obstacles that have kept you from maintaining an exercise program in the past. There will be a lot of support in a wonderful group atmosphere!  Class size will be kept small allowing for more one on one trainer attention.  

Still not convinced, come give it a try! Your first class is on us!  Just come on down any Tues or Thurs at 9:15.  Meet us at the basketball courts and remember to bring water and an exercise mat.
