Kathy Robb, AFAA Certified

Kathy Holmes Robb won a gym membership in college and hasn't stopped working out since!  After graduating from Penn State with a BS in Finance and working for 15-years in the financial community, she decided to move away from corporate America and got her Personal Training Certification thru the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA).  She currently does In-Home Personal Training where she brings all the necessary equipment to your home, is a Trainer at the Westfield Area Y, and has worked as a Trainer at the Health Club in the Sheraton NY Hotel & Towers, but she loves working out in the great outdoors the most!  An avid runner, Kathy has coached an adult running class, has successfully completed two NYC marathons as well as two Sprint Triathlons, and has served as a Mentor for the Danskin SheRox Triathlon for the NY Metro Area.  Kathy is qualified to train others using TRX Suspension Training and has also received credits for Nutrition Fundamentals and Youth Fitness.

A graduate of the Somerset School of Massage Therapy, she completed a 600-hour certification program in therapeutic massage, sports massage, anatomy and physiology.  She currently does massage therapy in the comfort and privacy of your own home.  In addition to doing In-Home massages, Kathy is a Massage Therapist at the Westfield Area Y and does chair massage in offices and for special events.

Mari Melao, NETA Certified

Picture
For the last 19 years, Mari Melao has enjoyed inspiring, motivating, and encouraging her participants at the Summit Area YMCA . Her loyalty and dedication has been her priority throughout the years.

Mari has always been a very active and athletic person.  A high school athlete, and an avid and loyal group exercise participant through college and her early professional years, she made a decision to get her Group Exercise Certification and her teaching journey began.  Her training style is always positive, encouraging, empowering, enthusiastic and high energy.  There are so many amazing things that Mari loves about Group Exercise. Her two favorites are:

  • The camaraderie that participants develop when they work out together.
  • Its ability to reduce stress and create positive energy.

Mari is a 3-time triathlete and has successfully completed many of the local races including the Westfield Pizza Run, the Cranford Firecracker Four Miler, and Tamaques Turkey Trot.  One of Mari’s absolute favorite events was being the Captain of the “Born to Run” Team (with BootCampWF’s very own Chris Taglieri as a teammate!) in the Asbury Park Relay Marathon.

When Mari isn’t teaching fitness classes, she thoroughly enjoys working with her students at Holy Trinity Interparochial School where she teaches the PK-2.5 year old class and Creative Movement.

Laura Schetelich, WITS Certified

Picture
Laura Schetelich has always had a love of sports and the outdoors.  After being a stay at home mom of 3 children for 13 years Laura decided to get back into work and got her WITS Certified Personal Trainer Certificate.  She is currently enrolled in classes for her Fitness Specialist Certification.  Laura has participated in many 5K races, the Five-Boro Bike Tour and other charity bike rides.  She completed the Danskin Tri in 2008 and just weeks later she walked in and finished the Susan G Komen 3 Day 60 Mile Breast Cancer Walk in Philadelphia.  Laura also successfully completed The Tough Mudder 12 mile obstacle course/run.

Ali Costalos, ACE Certified

Picture
Ali Costalos began "working out" in high school at Women's World in Bayside, NY in 1986 and has not stopped since! She began teaching step and "hi low" aerobics in college at the University of Scranton (remember those classes?).  As an adult she began running more, completed 2 marathons and now as a mother of 3, has caught the triathlon bug.  But always at the heart of it all was loving feeling proud of small physical accomplishments! It is what spurred on her love for outdoor sports such as snowboarding, hiking, tennis, you name it!

In her spare time (haha) she is a nurse practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, a member of the Home and School Association at Holy Trinity Interparochial School in Westfield, and Co- Founder of Mothers on a Mission.  She believes that at the heart of everyone is someone who is stronger than they think!

Mary Roth, Registered Yoga Teacher and Registered Dietitian

Mary Roth has been a Registered Dietitian since 1993 and a Registered Yoga Teacher since 2006, and is dedicated to working with clients helping them achieve their personal nutrition and fitness goals.  There is a yoga path for every age and every fitness level and Mary enjoys helping individuals tap into their own energy for optimal health.

Mary trained in Soul Sweat Asana with Wendy Pinto and is a certified Relax and Renew Trainer in Restorative Yoga through Judith Lasater. She currently teaches many styles of yoga including vinyasa flow, soul sweat, gentle, restorative and kids.   While she loves all styles of yoga, Mary is especially passionate about beginners and helping others start their yoga journey.  With three of her own children, Mary also enjoys sharing yoga with children and families.  She trained with Jodi Komitor of Next Generation Yoga and is certified to teach Kids Yoga.

Jen Lanza, Registered Yoga Teacher

Jennifer Lanza started practicing yoga 5 years ago.  Not only did it help get her into shape after having three kids, it also gave her peace of mind.  She loved yoga so much she became a Register Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance in 2008.  She graduated from the Soul Sweat Asana training at the Yoga and Healing Center in Scotch Plains, NJ.  Jen has taught Power Yoga at Beyond Dance in Cranford and at Merck’s corporate gym in Rahway.  She also teaches private yoga classes in her home.   Jen has taught yoga to kids at Tamaques School.

The more I practice yoga the better I feel, both mentally and physically.  As a fellow bootcamper, I look forward to combining what I love about Boot Camp WF, with what I love about yoga.

Lauren Kelly, Certified Nutritionist

Picture
Lauren Kelly is BootCampWF’s staff nutritionist - she will help you meet your health goals and will make you laugh along the way. We love her energy and passion for nutrition and know that you will too!

Always a runner and one who exercised daily, she felt a natural calling to the health industry.  Lauren got her Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science from Rutgers University.    After the birth of her first child, she decided to get licensed as a Certified Nutritionist at American Health Science University in hopes that one day she could start nutrition consulting.  Lauren has a huge passion for health, wellness and nutrition, and knew that one day she wanted to help people achieve their dietary goals.  Lauren has three young children (6, 4 and 1 1/2) who keep her on her toes!  She loves teaching her kids about what food does to their body and enjoys when they ask how much protein or fiber is in something they are eating.  A busy mother of three, Lauren feels it's very important to make exercise a priority and enjoys both running and BootCampWF classes.  While maintaining an extremely healthy household, she is a firm believer in "everything in moderation".  Lauren has a positive attitude that will help you reach your goals and fits well with the BootCampWF philosophy of changing your body and your mind.
